About

I am a web developer who enjoys putting logic and creativity together. Those are two of my favorite traits and web dev allows me to use them both. I am particulary fond of squashing any bugs I come across (although hopefully there aren't many...)

I'm currently a frontend engineer at Rakuten Symphony, where I help develop in-house applications and portals for our clients. I recently was leading efforts for a new portal site for one of our biggest clients. I maintained file structure and architecture, established standards for the project, led code reviews, and participated with project managers and business analysts. In my spare time, I like to practice game development.

Outside of coding and spending time with my wife and daughter, some of my hobbies include: jogging, gaming, studying Japanese or Spanish, being an amateur musician, fishing, and brewing the perfect cup of coffee.

I work with designers and business analysts to find the best way to develop applications for both internal use and our clients needs. With a focus on Angular, I create components, services, etc. and I occasionally help with code architecture to create an easy-to-navigate project for the other developers on the team.
Most recently, I started leading the development process on an ongoing project for one of our biggest clients. In this project, in addition to my standard developer tasks, I am managing other developers, organizing the file structure, and leading code reviews.

Le Wagon

Shortly after finishing the bootcamp, I was given the chance to be a teaching assistant at Le Wagon. I enjoyed my time going through the bootcamp and the TAs were a big reason why. I wanted to give the feeling back to aspiring devs. My main responsibility was assisting the students with their coding assignments.
